I found I could say things with color and shapes that I couldn't say any other way - things I had no words for. ~Georgia O'Keeffe
Art has always been an integral part of Rina’s life beginning with her first trip to a museum with her Mom when she was only six months old. Rina’s appreciation for art was further nurtured throughout her childhood in the Ukraine. When she was a teenager, Rina immigrated to the United States with her family and settled in an expatriate enclave in Brooklyn, New York. Thrust into American teenage life with limited knowledge of English, Rina embraced the wonderful opportunities of her new country and went on to graduate from City University of New York with a BS in Business and an MA in Art History. Since her first exhibition in 2004 and through Rina’s later shows in Soho and Tribeca, she has been honing her skills in oil painting, acrylics, digital art, drawing and other forms of artistic expression - each artwork reflecting a different dimension of her soul.
